MasterBuilder Pro ("the App", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable law including the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Onboarding preferences: Trade selections and calculator preferences you choose during setup. These are stored locally on your device only.
- Project data: Any calculations, saved projects, or quotes you create within the App. These are stored locally on your device only.
- Contact information: Only if you contact us directly via email for support.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Subscription status: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data from Apple to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your Apple ID, payment details, or billing information.
- AI feature usage: When you use AI-powered features (Compare, Imagine), your input is sent to our server for processing via third-party AI services (Google Gemini). We do not store your AI queries or responses beyond the duration of the request.
- Crash and performance data: We may collect anonymised crash reports and performance metrics via standard Expo/React Native tooling to improve app stability.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location through the App.
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
- We do not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies within the App.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
3. Data Storage & Security
All your calculation data, saved projects, and preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). We do not operate user accounts or cloud-based data storage for user content.
We take reasonable steps to protect information transmitted to our server for AI features using HTTPS encryption in transit.
4. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request details of any personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data. Since your data is stored locally, you can delete it by uninstalling the App.
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.
5. Children's Privacy
MasterBuilder Pro is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
